Day 5 - 7: Bordeaux - Saint Emilion - Medoc, Margaux

I know, I'm getting a bit behind with updating this, but not everywhere has free internet!!!

After we left Bayonne - Irene, Linda and I met up with Elena and Kristina in Bordeaux - we stayed in Saint Emilion, toured the monolithic church, had more croissants, cycled around the vineyards and took the wine tours at Château Beau-Séjour Bécot (Premier grand cru classé B) and Château Franc Mayne (Grand cru classé).

From Saint Emilion we made our way across to the Margaux region in the Medoc area and toured Château Rauzan Ségla - Grand Cru Classé (owned by Chanel!)

I have always thought Australian wines were the best, but having done these tasting tours tours, I have discovered a whole new appreciation for French wines!
